Make an
impact today

Giving to ACA creates direct change for the better. Our sliding scale is $10-40, but our donation model keeps appointments at the $10 mark.

This means that for every $10 contributed to the Mutual Aid & Access Fund:

  • someone gets a free acupuncture treatment

  • you help our acupuncturists get paid a living wage

  • we have the capacity to expand ACA services further into Capital Region communities

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No! Albany Community Acupuncture is a for-profit community-based clinic. Contributions made through this page are not tax-deductible.

  • Your support helps sustain our $10-40 sliding-scale model and expands access to affordable acupuncture in our community.

  • Absolutely! We are always doing outreach and invite you to join us in spreading the word about ACA by flyering around town and posting on social media.

We also do work trade for those interested in being a greeter/receptionist at one of our pop up clinics in exchange for acupuncture treatments.

  • Albany Community Acupuncture currently operates as a for-profit clinic in order to remain flexible, sustainable, and responsive to community needs. This structure allows us to keep administrative overhead low, make decisions quickly, and focus our energy on providing accessible care rather than managing the significant reporting and fundraising requirements of a nonprofit organization.

We are open to exploring nonprofit partnerships or fiscal sponsorship in the future if doing so meaningfully expands access to care or supports specific community programs. For now, operating as a for-profit clinic allows us to offer acupuncture on a $10–$40 sliding scale while maintaining consistency, clarity, and long-term sustainability.
