All donations are sliding scale and anonymous as per the POCA Co-op bylaws.

Acupuncture works best when included as a regular part of your regular health routine. Like eating healthy food or going to the gym, it’s not something you can just do once and hope for lasting results.

For this reason, we keep our donation scales extremely low so that you can afford to receive treatment regularly. Many community acupuncture clinics across the country have a sliding scale that looks more like our individual session sliding scale. Because we do not accept insurance, it is important to us that we offer you an option that would cost the same or less than a co-pay for a doctors visit via your insurance.

Though we do not accept insurance, we are happy to provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many insurance policies cover 50-80% of 10-12 acupuncture appointments per year.

We do not have the staffing or financial resources to bill insurance or the time to engage with insurance companies via the telephone to workshop administrative errors on their part or contest denied claims.

If a claim of yours is denied, we apologize and encourage you to re-submit the invoice.
